I ve been bringing all three of my dogs here for the three to four years right before i board them so they get their booster shots along with getting their rabies vaccine. I just brought in one of my dogs today and their vet on site (Georgette Servito) refuses to give my dog his three year vaccine and tag because they have no records of him yet this has been my primary vet for them. She basically told me i need to take better care of my dog because his coat was dusty, after giving him a haircut yesterday. Her explanation for her refusal to give my dog the three year is because she needs to see him yearly since no records are on file for him. I specifically handed the folder to the tech that came to my car and all she did was take the last rabies certificate with her and disregarded the full folder of records i have for my dog. My dogs get their vaccines every time i board them. The first year i didn t board them is last year due to COVID. My dog has been tested for the MDR1 gene and has it. He CANNOT be put on ivermectin. She laughed and said that she sees no problem with it, that they put other German shepherds and Australian shepherds on ivermectin and no problems. Steer far away from this place! I had no prior issues with the other vets at this location when i told them about refusing to give him ivermectin. I highly suggest they do more research and educate themselves because MDR1 is deadly if given ivermectin. I have with me a folder full of his records that i bring with me EVERY TIME yet no records on file for him? Ok. Then tech comes out to my car after vet over the phone finished telling me they have no records for him to tell me that she did see record of his prior referral to see a ophthalmologist on the system due to possible melanoma in the eye. Which confused me because Mrs. Servito JUST TOLD ME over the phone they have no record! As much as she tried to justify her reasoning for refusing to give my dog the three year rabies tag and vaccine, she s full of lies. I ve spent upwards of thousands of dollars on him for his care. How dare she tell me i have to do better for him because his coat is dusty? Literally insinuating that I ve lacked on his care. I shaved his coat yesterday (something i now have to do on my own before I ve had to cut back on haircuts for him due to decreased household pay), and crunched for time was unable to bathe him before his visit today. I ve struggled to find someone to cover me at my job today in order to take him in after struggling to make a appt for him due to work scheduling. I called three times trying to get this appointment and trying at all costs not to reschedule because he had to be seen. The last i needed was for your veterinarian to laugh over the phone at me when i mentioned the risks of a MDR1 positive dog to be exposed to ivermectin, and to tell me i need to take better care of my dog. If you would ve taken a moment to look over his records, you would ve seen that for the past year my dog has been seeing Mrs Tucci for his eye. He had surgery, and has numerous follow up appointments. That is why i haven t been in with my dog within the past year to your hospital! Edited to add: My receipt clearly says my dog was last seen in august 2019 at your hospital. Which he then saw Mrs. Tucci because he had surgery on his eye for the sclera mass. Please explain how that is not evidence of my dog having prior health records with your hospital along with a folder full of vet records? Your hospital would ve refused to vaccinate my dog in August if he had no prior record. My other dogs have been seen by Cyrena Rose and another male veterinarian that works there.

This office has the potential to be excellent but misses the mark due to inconsistencies in the front desk staff. My experience varies tremendously depending upon who answers the phone, or who is checking me in for an appointment. Missy is an absolute dream and deserves every ounce of recognition. She is helpful, thoughtful, and anticipates needs. The other young lady, however, makes it obvious that she does not enjoy a position in customer service. My wait times are doubled when she works the front desk. She rushes me off the phone. She does not completely answer my questions. She lacks a sense of urgency and caring and shifts her job responsibilities to me, the customer. I requested a paper script for my dog at this visit. I was reassured by the technician three (3) times that my scripts for my dog would be filled at an online pharmacy without needing a paper script. I was uncomfortable with this and expressed my preference to have the paper copy. I was denied, which I could not understand why providing me with this information was such an issue. Low and behold, my online pharmacy states my vet requires a paper script when I place an order for my dog’s meds, instructing me to contact your office. The worst part is the reluctance of the front desk to assist me, refusing to correct this inconvenience that I anticipated from the start. I tried to avoid this back and forth by requesting the paper script. If you are going to reassure a lack of issues, perhaps correcting issues when they arise is appropriate. I love Missy, I love our vet, I love the convenience of the location, and the technicians are kind. Sadly, the front desk is the first and last impression left on customers and I’m no longer willing to have my experience bookended with a lack of caring.

I’d like a copy of my medical records and a run down of my bill sent to my email address [email protected] My Dog Bo Meiron diagnosis was not clearly explained to me, the vet on Thursday (martinez) was great and said Bo needed a radiologist to review his X-ray. I called on Friday evening to get the results of the review and the Doctor on staff Friday said he had to get off the phone and I could call on Monday for further explanation. I was also supposed to get an additional medication, but due to the nature of my conversation , I was left literally confused. I spent almost 600.00 and I have no idea what’s going on or where I go from here, so my only choice is to get my records and find a Vet that will actually take the time to explain what the course of treatment is clearly, and explain what medications I can give. I was extremely disappointed. I will say the staff was friendly and seemed to care, I can only hope they are treated better than you treat Local Redland Patrons.

Great place to take your beloved pets for health care. I have tried 2 other Veterinary practices when I moved to Homestead and none compare to this practice at Redland Animal Hospital. Great friendly staff, great doctors, nice clean office, timely appointments. I rate them 10 STARS!
