I was pretty shocked when I saw the bill for my dog. 3 vaccinations and a heart worm test (that I said I didn t think he needed and was told they would not prescribe the flea, tick, & heart worm medication without it) and medication for an ear infection, and the bill was over $500 (medicine not included). This is more than double what I paid at my previous vet. I did not have anything explained to me, just a bill handed to me at the end for almost $700 (medicine included). Frankly, the high prices make me consider going elsewhere in the future

I know I am probably one of the craziest dog parents there. But the staff has always been very friendly and I feel confident taking Simon to you. He just had some shots and a saw one of the techs rubbing Simons belly and making him feel comfortable when I peeked in. There is no better veterinarian than Dr. Anita Poling. Having moved away, I tried several DVM s, I now make the long trek back to Avon Animal Hospital as I insist my dogs get the best care, and that s where I find the best. I can never thank Dr. Poling, and her staff, enough for the intelligent, caring and consistently successful approach to my pet s health and longevity.

A few months ago when you people were double and triple booking, we the customer would come in at appointment time and have to wait a hour to be seen. I complained and was told it WILL happen again, when I heard that I seeked another vet. My time is worth something too. Seems, since then you people stopped doing that. Nobody wants to make an appointment, then wait for an hour to be seen. What is the sense ?

I am very pleased with the care given to my senior kitty from the staff and Dr. Polling. In the past she has even called me outside of office hours to give me information. I always feel we are dealing with Lucy s health in a kind realistic way.

I didn’t think that the wellness exam was very thorough It didn’t seem like the doctor took very much time with my cat. She did answer the questions that I had.

My appointment was at 4:40pm. We didn t see the doctor until 5:20pm. That s a little backed up. Maybe make appointments more spread out. I would have just rather come later.

Anita as always is a delight when it comes to carrying for our pets over the years. She has solved several serious problems with two pets namely Tom and Bashful. She also kept Winston alive into his 19th year by prescribing a daily pill to stop seizures. Winston waited patiently in the kitchen in the morning for his ritz cracker with peanut butter and the small pill hidden in the cracker.
