Excellent first appointment. Friendly, caring, respectful staff. Doctor gave my cat a thorough exam and gave me a comprehensive explanation of her findings. She called and e-mailed me the next day with lab results and further treatment recommendations. I like the ease of records retrieval through the internet website, too.

We have lived in Carroll County for over 20 years and Sykesville Vet has always been our go to Vet office. Dr. Colwell is excellent with the two Siamese I ve had and she is personable with each customer.

I was pleased that the office staff encouraged me to bring Khaine in often (with no service due) to familiarize him with the location and provide positive experiences with plenty of treats just for dropping in and getting weighed. I think this made our last visit much better than the first.

The Tech that gave the discharge instructions was great. Very clear and detailed. Also, she obviously liked Kayli and spent time with her during the day to help her. She is an old girl, so knowing that she was cared for means a lot.

A urine re-test was done that cost $60 and it would have been thoughtful if that cost had been discussed with me in advance. Particularly because if I had known... I would have declined. I knew the original test was a false positive due to something the dog had gotten into prior to that visit. I wasn t made aware of the test at the prior visit either. Tests can be very costly. This should be discussed before tests are done.
