I was extremely displeased with my recent visit to the clinic. My dog and I were seen and spoken to by 3 different providers, not a single continuous person throughout the visit. The first person who brought us in did not seem like she knew what she was doing. She couldn t get a proper weight of my dog and couldn t get a thermometer reading for his temperature. My dog is only 1 year old and has never had anyone try to shove something in his ear before and she wondered why it bothered him. I tried to help, but I don t exactly have vet clinic experience myself. Then she took him, without asking me, to get blood work which WASN T explained to me. Then he was brought back to me by someone different. When I had questions for the vet, rather than bring him or her to me, this new person went back and forth asking my questions and reporting back. It was super awkward. The room we were waiting in also had used thermometer ear covers on the floor. It was gross. Then when we went to leave, a DIFFERENT person (not a receptionist) explained the price of getting my dog neutered in the future. It would have been nice to at least have the same person with us throughout the visit and maybe even a brief chat with an actual veterinarian. I m not sure we will be keeping our upcoming appointments or returning to LAH.
