We love Dr. Runnels. It is hard to get in to see her due to her full schedule but we appreciate the time she spends with her patients even though she’s very busy. She always goes above and beyond.

I’m really disappointed to see such an increase in price. I am a huge advocate for chiropractic care but when the top DCs in KC aren’t even charging that much for humans I’m struggling to understand why it’s being charged for animals.

The majority (maybe all?) of our appointments so far have been in a room with a veterinarian. At this last appt, our pup needed a booster shop. He was taken to the back without an explanation why we were not going into a room. And I was not allowed to accompany him. This makes me very uncomfortable. Your office staff needs to take more time with the owners and ask how the pet has been, if they ve been sick, if there are any concerns with their health, etc. You need to ask these questions to 1) ensure the shot isn t contraindicated and 2) put your customers at ease.

Everyone here is so great with Piper and Remy! They have some special issues and all the vets that I have seen are exceptional. Dr. Carrier and Dr. Burcham squeeze them in to their busy schedule whenever possible and are truly concerned about their well being! Thank you to everyone at Mariposa!

Thor, our boxer was a little nervous but the staff was very gentle and patient with him. He did very well and the ointment the Dr. used in is ears has been very helpful as he has not been scratching or acting like they are bothering him anymore so thank you!

Unfortunately, we lost our cat, Ely (who was almost 18) but Dr. Reynolds was awesome. I really appreciate how she contacted us for follow-up, texted me, stayed in constant communication regarding how Ely was doing, and the time she took with us. I initially met with Sue when we first took Ely in during this past week, and Sue was wonderful, too. Very caring and compassionate. This is the 3rd animal we lost at Mariposa, but I couldn t think of more gentle, kind, and comforting place to be for our furry loved ones go through the dying process and for us to grieve. Having gone through 3, I feel pretty connected to Mariposa (and also the fact that is Annette is my puppy s trainer). Thank you everyone for the work you do and for caring for our pets. Just one little comment,though,that is kinda funny in retrospect .... when we came to meet with Dr. Reynolds the day Ely died, a new front desk person was a little over-the-top polyanna. Her intentions were good, but when I said we were here for Ely, she was very exuberant, which I took as a good sign that Ely may have survived. When I asked, it was clear that she didn t know who Ely was or what was going on, and when I explained the situation, she said, I m sure she s fine. And when I commented that she seemed so happy that I thought maybe Ely took a turn for the better, she said she was just trying to be friendly. Again, she had good intentions and a few days later it made me laugh, but she might want to understand that not all animals are going to be fine when you take them to the vet :) Anyway, you guys are great! Our kitty began limping with no apparent cause. Dr Carrier agreed to see him, x-ray and provide treatment as well as comp nail trim. 3 days later our kitty is now playing and appears to be doing well, much to our relief! Appreciate so much being seen urgently.
