My experience was fine however I was charged a lot for a nail trim for my puppy. In the past it was complimentary and when we’ve brought my other dog is was complimentary as well. I was quite disappointed to see I was charged almost $20 without even being told it was going to cost that much before she did it or even when I was paying. I only saw it when I received my invoice. I never would have paid that much and if I was told it would cost that much I would’ve taken her somewhere else. It’s never fun to be surprised with an extra charge and not told ahead of time.

My dog was taken to the back for her blood test, and I took out my card to pay. I was ignored for several minutes. The lab tech took my dog out, but I was still waiting to pay, so I asked her to keep my dog until I had paid (a little hyper). I could see a man in jeans looking in a manual. He later came out but didn t introduce himself. When I asked why it was taking so long, he said they had to decide which test would give the best information. I actually had to wait to pay until that had been determined and the results obtained. Both because of the COVID-19 situation and my time, I would have preferred to give my card payment details, have my dog give her blood sample and leave right away. I left feeling very annoyed.

I am so pleased with the service and the way I felt even after the first initial phone call to book the appointment. Upon arriving the front office staff (Lana if I’m not mistaken) was friendly, knowledgeable and very ‘on top of things’, I was probably more nervous than Clementine and she was able to put my nerves at ease! Dr. Covant is such a friendly, knowledgeable doctor, I truly feel he cares about my Clementine and can’t wait to introduce his sister to the clinic and the amazing staff. Even the vet tech was very friendly and knowledgeable, she answered all my questions about an upcoming surgery very clearly. In this day in age it’s hard to find good caring people, I feel fortunate to have ‘stumbled’ into this practice and look forward to a long future with them!

I attended an appointment with a new vet that we have not met before. All of our prior appointments with various doctors and staff have been excellent. This is the first time I have come in to the office and been asked multiple times if my dog is friendly. Both the veterinary assistant/admin personnel as well as veterinary doctor asked and appeared nervous when asking. I do have a large breed dog, however he has been a patient for many years with no incidents or issues. Being asked multiple times gave the impression that the staff were nervous or not confident because of my dogs size. As a dog owner coming in for an emergency under stress, this is something that really added to my level of stress and worry. Whenever I have been in in the past the staff and doctors have been so good about properly approaching my dog for an introduction and proceeding with calm confidence in their treatment and check ups. Any animal under stress can certainly act out and this is something I am mindful of as a dog owner. I explained to the vet which limb was injured, and upon seeing how nervous the doctor was I lost confidence that the exam would go okay and all of my worry shifted to controlling my dog. An animal approached in the best state with a nervous energy can react negatively. The vet instructed me to restrain my dog and tested the limb with no pain reaction. Some hours later at home the limp got worse. I carefully bent the dog s leg in a similar manner and found him whining in pain. In retracing my steps and remembering which way I was facing and how I was restraining the dog during the check, I realized that the vet had checked the wrong leg even though I had specifically said which leg versus indicating. In the moment with all of my worry shifting to restraining the dog, I had not noticed. I expect the vet had not noticed either because he was nervous. I would hope that a vet could remain calm and take the responsibility to complete an examination correctly when owners are understandably under stress and worried. I am understanding of the fact that something may have happened earlier in the day to put staff on edge and hope this was a one off situation. It was very surprising and disappointing to experience this at an office we trust.

Veterinarian should wash his hands before examining each pet as dirty/ bloody hands could transfer germs and bacteria to the next pet. Also waiting time needs to be improved as it’s not acceptable to be waiting around 90 min for my appointment as due to COVID-19 waiting time should be minimal. Thank you

I was there for a nail trim for my scare-dy cat. I waited only a few minutes after getting her weighed for the technician to take Zoie in. I appreciated that. A few of her nails are still very sharp, so says my abdomen when my cat is making biscuits, but I was appreciative of getting in and out quickly.

My only suggestion, I went to much my follow up for 2 weeks from yesterday (vaccine shot) but could not as I was told that the Dr s schedule was not done yet for October. I was asked to call back. I would really have preferred to be able to book as this was a first for me, and if you could have called me back once the schedule is done, would have been easier. Just a thought...still very happy as you can see.
