My cat Mikey was lethargic and felt warm. He nibbled at his food but ate very little. I called and received a convenient appointment the same day. Dr. Hicks checked Mikey out and treated him for a fever and he received fluids. The staff and Dr. Hick are caring and thorough. On a previous visit she saved Mikey. He slept and is doing well. Dr. Hicks is a skillful and caring doctor. Later Mikey slept well and has returned to his happy self.

The staff at Kapaau Vet are the best! The doctors and assistants are always incredibly caring and professional about our pets health!

This office, Dr Hicks DVM and staff have excelled in multiple ways since our first encounter 11 years ago. They are knowledgeable and great communicators. The staff is talented and simply great with our pets.... did I mention they are ALL CATS! We know cats can be difficult at best and yet, they show such unbiased concern for our kitties. Dr. Melissa Hicks DVM is a spectacular doctor. Her years of experience and her diligent efforts to remain current are evident. My wife and I are both in the medical and nursing fields and know the lingo and appreciate the professional care and approach with are pets. We feel so comfortable with this office staff and the DVM s that work here. We recommend them all highly and have the upmost respect for their efforts.
