We moved here recently and feel blessed to have Dr. Girard for our three dog s doctor. She explains all issues to us completely and patiently. The staff and her are caring and professional. I would recommend Colony and Dr. Girard to others seeking a veterinarian.

I find the office staff friendly and helpful. I especially appreciate their checking with the vet or tech when I have questions about medications and care after a procedure. Dr Girards tech is knowledgeable, competent, friendly and helpful, certainly the best I have encountered during the 40 plus years I have had a dog! I am so embarrassed that I can’t remember her name. Dr Girard is the perfect vet! Approachable, listens with interest and understanding, can clearly describe what she sees and why she is suggesting a particular approach for the problem. She does not hurry to take unnecessary tests so that when called for you feel confident that they are necessary. She follows up on pets after any procedure and is available to discuss any issue. She is in the room for dental cleanings although the tech does the cleaning. She is compassionate and takes whatever time is necessary to make the puppy and it’s owner comfortable. She gives bad news with understanding and compassion. And she has a great sense of humor! Truly there is not a single thing I would change about her.

Though, as in any doctor visit, it can be pricy (my pet complaint about everything in life) but the expertise of the doctors, technicians and friendliness of the staff take most of the sting out of it. We do genuinely feel that the people at Colony Plaza Animal Hospital take the extra step in providing a caring and warm office environment. Wouldn t think of bringing our cat anywhere else but Colony!
