It makes me sad that the groomer was only willing to give our dog one chance. He has never had issues at any other groomer. We are financially not able to afford training sessions at this time and it has never been a problem with him being aggressive in the past. I was really hoping to have all of our pets needs met in one spot. We were also planning on having him kennel there while traveling for a family event but if certain staff members don’t feel comfortable around him then I guess we will have to search for a different place. I don’t want the staff to feel like we are putting them at risk.

We are super happy with Driftwood! My only improvement idea is to make sure your staff returns call for voice mail messages. I had left a voicemail asking if my dog could have a vet appointment while he was there for a grooming appointment but didn’t get a return call confirming the vet appointment. The vet appointment was scheduled, I just didn’t get a confirmation call so I didn’t know for sure whether he would be seen by the vet till I got there the morning or his grooming appointment.

We specifically asked for Pete to be de-shed, pointing out a knot and the amount of hair he was shedding (not just brushed and bathed). This was one of the main reasons for the appointment. (Vaccinations and grooming) Upon picking him up, the groomer did not de-shed due to Pete being “lipppy” and we ended up de-shedding ourselves... we know Pete does get nervous around loud noises but never bites or is aggressive, he’s very gentle. We’ve have yet to have this issue when performed at other facilities.

I keep coming as it s been one of the best vets that I ve been too. Dr. Tony is amazing and very understanding. Would be GREAT once this covid rolls by and we are able to come into the office. I would ask that communication or a phone call after the appointments are complete. I showed up not even knowing if my pets have seen the Dr. yet. Maybe they just got done I m not sure. I appreciate the update I got on Missy from Dr. Tony as he knows the history on her. Keep up the amazing work and I will always be back. No matter if I get a phone call or not! First off I would like to say that Driftwood staff are absolutely professional, friendly and a pleasure to work with. My boys are always happy when I pick them up. I am a little concerned about the price is different when I ask in advance the fee and then is different when I pay for the service. I have trust with Driftwood, that is why I take the boys back. But...I think it would be a good policy that when pets are boarded that if they need any medical help that the owner is contacted before receiving any medical help. (unless it s an emergency). We have had this happen. It was confusing when we would get picture texts everyday saying they are doing good but when we pick them up we have extra charges due to one on my boys being sick. He was not sick when we left him at Driftwood. SURPRISE! A call before he was treated would have been more professional. I have also had the boys groomed there. I called to ask the price before I took the boys in. I was given a flat price unless there was matting. There was no matting but was charged a total of $20 more then I was quoted so that someone could help hold them while he was being groomed. Again...SURPRISE! I did talk with Evan about this. He was very professional and said that he would speak with the groomer. On a happy note, the groomer did a fantastic job!!! One more thing...I called for outdoor pickup as that is what I thought your sign and text message reminder said. When I arrived your line was busy for quite some time. It was a little frustrating. Thankfully after about 5 minutes a staff member saw me and came out and asked if she could help. I told her about the phone and she apologized. To end this on a good note...thank you for sending out this survey. It shows me that you care not only about our furry family members but that you care about the parents. Thank You!

Jamie the groomer was very attentive to my dog s needs after taking much time to talk to me! And got him groomed in a very convenient time frame for me! Dr. Tony even made time to see and help Blue with skin issues while being groomed and talked to me at pick up! Great service!
